Vintage 1980's Grey Men's Double-Breasted Two-Piece Suit Business Retro

This listing is for a vintage 1980's men's grey double-breasted two-piece suit.
This suit is made from an interesting medium-weight grey striped fabric, the content of which we are unsure of, though it appears to be a sort of wool blend. The jacket has an 80's double-breasted business cut with narrow peaked lapels, no pocket flaps and low gorge. The front of the jacket has four dark grey marbled synthetic buttons, as well as three per cuff. It is fully lined in light grey synthetic fabric and the shoulders are padded. The trousers are mostly straight-leg in cut and are somewhat wide-legged. They do not have cuffs at the ankles and close at the waist via an internal and external button and tab, metal hook-and-eye and a synthetic zipper. The waist, pockets and crotch are all lined in a light grey and striped cotton and synthetic fabric.
The suit is in used condition and does have some signs of wear. The outside of the jacket is in quite good condition, and does not have any rips, holes, tears, stains, missing buttons, etc. The inside of the jacket does have some wear, however, with the bottom of the lining has started to come loose at the hem and needs to be stitched back down. The trousers also have some light wear. The lining inside the crotch and waist does have some staining, but this does not appear to be visible on the outside. There is also a worn spot near the crotch seam at the back (see photo) and the zipper is functioning, but stiff.
Both pieces bear a combination of size, seller, region of origin, and laundering labels.
Jacket is marked as a US men's 44R. Trousers are unmarked. Our measurements are as follow:
