    Description

Vintage souvenir building bookend in the shape of the historic South Congregational Church in Springfield, Massachusetts made for the building's 100th anniversary in 1975.
This figural church is made of cast iron with a bronze finish and nice detail in the Victorian Gothic architecture. The front is embossed "SOUTH CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH". The back is flat and embossed "CHURCH FOUNDED 1842 - BUILDING DEDICATED 1875 - CENTENNIAL CELEBRATED 1975".
It measures 7.75" tall by 5.75" wide by 1.75" deep, and weighs 2.75 lbs.
The real church building was designed in a High Victorian Gothic style by noted architect William Appleton Potter who built several buildings for Princeton University in the late 19th century. Get this rare commemorative church bookend now.
