Inspired by our travels to Mount Pleasant NY there is a village known as Sleepy Hollow located on the East bank of the Hudson River in which we planned a visit on a magical night of the Full Moon taking an enchanting tour guided stroll with lanterns through the Cemetery Grounds of Sleepy Hollow there we had a lovely visit to the grave site of Irvine Washington and possibly coming face to face with the ghost of the infamous Headless Horseman.
As legend begins during the American Revolutionary War a Hessian artilleryman who was killed on the battle field during the Battle of White Plains in the year of 1776  was decapitated by an American cannonball were shatter remains of his head were left on the battlefield while his fellow comrades hastily carried his body away.
His headless remains are buried by the Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow and it is there where the legendary tale of Sleepy Hollow begins as darkness falls and the full moon rises heading down Albany Post Road past the Old Dutch Church the sudden frightening chill of a clattering approach to a rising trot of horse hoofs begin......
as his malevolent ghost has risen! as the full moon luminescence glimmers through the clouds he furiously seeks for a head to take!
We bring to all of our wondrous eccentrics, pagan witches, and dark shadow Gothics! this enchanting fragrance that takes you through the haunting ominous cemetery forest giving way to the near faint overcast somber scent of the Hudson River.
The looming essences within the nights chilling mist air where ivy vines intertwine through the cemetery forest with a faint decayed scent of oak moss and autumn fallen leaves on moist soil with a mystical essence of lichen growing on mossy old wilt withered trees and centuries old gravestones with a following Sweet Mabon Resin make for this beautiful hauntingly somber but yet exquisitely created fragrance we have named
