Promotional ads have gained a well-deserved and increased popularity among collectors in the last decade….and for all the right reasons. Unlike most other type of collectibles, ads would typically only run once and even it an ad would appear in multiple magazines or newspapers, they would typically have unique differences, such as size, paper quality, color differentials etc.
This most attractive and desirable lot contains a total of 74 (!!) collectible promotional ads, including 9 Simon & Garfunkel ads, 55 Paul Simon ads and 18 Art Garfunkel ads. The ads are mostly from the 1970s and 1980s. These collectible ads came from Billboard Magazine, Cashbox Magazine, Rolling Stone, Radio & Records and other periodicals from the US and Europe. The Billboard ads measure approximately 11 x 14 inches and are true pieces of art.
