  • Condition: The brackets and stems are made of steel, and the wheels are rubber. The brackets were originally brass plated, and some of the brass wore off leaving them with a nice, distressed look. There is a ring with ball bearings at the base of the stem, which allows the casters to swivel with ease. These casters were removed from a 1970's bar cart that was salvaged locally. There are small nicks and scratches here and there, which are typical to find on pieces this old, however, there are no breaks, chips, dents, or gouges. The last photos show some surface cracks on one of the wheels. These are just superficial or cosmetic, because the wheel is just as strong as the other 3. We greased the ball bearings to facilitate their movement, and all of the wheels rotate smoothly. The casters are ready for another lifetime of service.     Rubber Furniture Casters w/Grip Stems
    Heavy-duty set of 4 vintage casters salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. The brackets and stems are made of steel, and the wheels are rubber. The brackets were originally brass plated, and some of the brass wore off leaving them with a nice, distressed look. There is a ring with ball bearings at the base of the stem, which allows the casters to swivel with ease.
    We had to downsize our inventory in order to move into a smaller space. Unfortunately, much of the furniture that was in need of repair was discarded, but we made sure to at least salvage the cool, original hardware. These casters were removed from a 1970's bar cart that was salvaged locally.
