p for sale is this very interesting, likely one of a kind survey map of Old Sturbridge Village. The Topographical Plan of the Site, Wells Historical Musuem, Sturbridge, Mass. It is dated January 1937, shortly after the Wells family purchased the land, and several years prior to opening the Musuem. It's a very large map, measuring about 49 1/2" x 29 1/2". It is an incredibly detailed map, the trees are identified by type, their height is given and even the shade cast by them is marked. It's a wonderful piece, tough to properly convey in the photos. There are some creases (it has been stored and will be shipped folded), some edge tears, some ruffles and some soiling, but I think it could be a fantastic looking item properly framed. This is truly a piece of New England history.
