FRAMED FRANKLIN HALF DOLLAR Set 1948 - 1963
Description
This is a framed collection of coins of each year the Franklin Liberty Bell Half Dollar was minted, from 1948 through 1963. It contains 17 coins (one per year of production with frontal view and one showing the reverse Liberty Bell reverse side of the coin) all minted in 0.900 fine silver, including the low mintage 1955 issue.
As a historical note - Benjamin Franklin became the first person other than a President to be immortalized on a circulating United States coin.
The collection is enclosed in a 17 1/2 x 14 ½ inch wood frame with protective glass.
Note – Pictures are of the actual framed silver coin set.

Coins have been in this frame for around 40 years – 30 of which I have owned it.
The frame has never been opened to see the reverse side of each coin to determine the actual mint location or judge the actual grading condition of each coin.

Consequently the scrap value of the combined coins alone is worth a minimum of 0.82.
Of course the market value of the graded coins would be worth potentially much more as well as the presentation value being greater as presented in the framed historical art.
