Excellent Variety (x 2) Booklet.
Those who are attentive to my Centennial Issue Listing might note that there is AT least one item missing from my Regular Booklet Offerings in this Forum, that being Booklet #64. The reason for this has been my attempt to Collect a Second COMPLETE SET OF ALL 12 Patterns. This Centennial Booklet Variety is so scarce that when someone finds a single Variety stamp from the CORRECT postion in the Pane, it appears offered for sale with an assortment of descriptions. Let's deal with that first; There are 12 specific Patterns -- A to L ( which are vertical strokes ) occuring only on the 6th Row of stamps in the Pane.
There is a specific pattern of
**strokes--more than 1 **
for
**each stamp** of the 3 Stamps
and a pattern in the Left and the Right Margin's of the respective stamp, and lastly between each stamp.
Thus from Left to Right it has been possible to determine there are 12 Different Patterns that have been discovered for Booklet #64. Of course if you have Harris or access to the CSG Newsletter you will know this already along with the specific pattern to look for. I have been able to assemble just the One Set which some 30 or so years ago 'went West", and now I am short ONE Pattern for my Second Set, Pattern * L *. It is out there somewhere (HELLO England...help!) just not currently on my radar. Indeed I have found that some Dealers might list Booklet #64 but each time my inquiry results in -- "Sorry Not in Stock." As always there is the Catalogue Value, which is set as you may know on 'Supply and Demand'... both important features. There is also ** the meeting of a Willing Seller and a Willing Buyer **. Just as a guidepost, Harris

.NOT TO BE Missed here was the above 'Variety x 2', and the 2 indicating another major feature of this Bk#64 is the almost 100% Imperf on the Right Side of the Pane -- the
Misalignment of the Cutter Variety
. A Gem of a Booklet awaiting its FIRST Collection. Apologies for the long Description, but I find it very difficult to restrict a 67' item to one line.
